BRITISH SANDWICH WEEK 8-14 MAY 2016

It is thought that the sandwich was invented by the the 4th Earl of Sandwich (hence the name!) when he asked to be brought some meat between two slices of bread rather than breaking for dinner, and leaving his gambling table.

The humble sandwich has now grown from just meat and two slices of bread to an impossible list of options and ingredients. Everyone has their favourite, and different breads and fillings are used all over the world. So what is your favourite?

The good old steak sandwich can rarely be beaten and we recommend you use our deliciously tender venison steaks, cooked medium rare and thinly sliced. Place in your sandwich with some caramelised onions and condiment of your choice and voila...the perfect sandwich.
