So this year is all about Venison!
Happy New Year to you all! The festive season is over and the New Year has begun. A time for reflection and making new lifestyle choices for the year ahead. If national sales figures are to be believed Waitrose’s customers are buying 41% more Venison than in 2015. So this year is all about Venison! And there is no wonder - it is remarkably low in fat and now recognised as being one of the most nutritious of all red meats! It’s high in iron, B vitamins and Omega 3 & 6 – which helps convert food into energy, plays a vital role in functions for our brain and nervous system. With less fat and calories than chicken or beef, it’s rich in protein, essential for muscle growth and repair, brain function and sleep - with the added bonus of staying fuller for longer! So with the trend of veganism or meat-free days being advised – isn’t it better to choose a healthier meat option?
