The pheasant was introduced to the UK many centuries ago, and is now a familiar sight in the British countryside. The flesh is pale, lean and firm, with a subtle gamey flavour with the breast meat being more delicate in flavour and tender than the legs.
Wild pheasant breasts are a similar size to chicken breasts but cook much quicker than chicken so make sure they don’t dry out by wrapping in bacon or using rich sauces.
All of our game is supplied via a fully licensed game supplier and the cost is for a pack of 4 fillets.
The season for pheasant runs from the 1st October to the 1st February.
