Whole pheasant
A large, long-tailed gamebird, they were introduced to the UK long ago and more recent introductions have brought in a variety of races and breeds for the shooting season.
The season for pheasant runs from the 1st October to the 1st February.
The lean, gamey meat of a brace of pheasants makes for a tasty autumnal treat and when cooked with care will offer a deliciously succulent meal.
For our whole pheasants try roasting just like a chicken and serve with lovely roasted vegetables and rich sauces. Remember though that a wild pheasant will hold less fat than other meats so make sure they don’t dry out by using extra fat or even cooking bags.

All orders are despatched in chilled boxes to keep ambient temperature and will be delivered to your preferred address between 9am-4pm. Do not worry if you are not in, our courier service will leave the order in a safe place (or designated place if requested on the special instructions at checkout).
